MARCH 24-26 2012: VILLA FAVORITA 2012

We will take part to the ninth edition of Villa Favorita, an extraordinary wine tasting event dedicated to natural wines. The event is organized by the VinNatur association and will take place in the enchanting scenery of Villa Favorita in Monticello di Fara, Sarego (VI).
The list of wineries participating at Villa Favorita 2012 will include about 150 producers from Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. The major event is the culmination of an intense activity of the VinNatur association throughout the year, which included conferences, seminars, technical meetings and exhibitions across Europe for the promotion of natural wines.
The selection of the participating wineries is carried out with very strict criteria. A restricted Committee assesses the organoleptic characteristics of wine samples and adherence to the underlying philosophy of the group. The wines that exceed this first tasting are then systematically analyzed by an external laboratory that tests for the presence of residues of pesticides, herbicides or other potentially harmful components. It also measures the amount of sulphur dioxide present in each wine. Only the wineries in line with those criteria are admitted to Villa Favorita. To our knowledge this is the only natural wine exhibition to apply a so precise protocol. This is to guarantee consumers and producers that the use of chemical product and additives is excluded both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
